Command (Primary Manifest)
The Command Department is ultimately responsible for the mission and meeting the objectives of the company. The members of this department are the authority on all decisions regarding the mission ultimately responsible for the safety and welfare of the project.
Commanding Officer Ultimately responsible for the ship and crew, the Commanding Officer is the most senior officer aboard a vessel. S/he is responsible for carrying out the orders of the Generals above their position. Executive Officer The liaison between captain and crew, the Executive Officer acts as the disciplinarian, personnel manager, advisor to the captain, and much more. S/he is also one of only two officers, along with the Chief Medical Officer, that can remove a Commanding Officer from duty. Business Liaison A business liaison is a trained professional who performs a variety of duties designed to maintain relationships, exchange information and promote operations on behalf of the company. -
Operations (Primary Manifest)
The Operations Department is the primary department utilized during mission operations, often being assigned tasks by the company that cannot be accomplished by others readily.
Infantry The Infantry Marine is the basic foot soldier of the United States Colonial Marine Corps. Equipped with the standard issue M41A pulse rifle and M3 personal armor, Infantry are useful in almost any situation and can be certified to operate specialized weaponry.
- Demolitions: Trained to operate explosive ordinance, a Demolitions Specialist can cause massive damage and disrupt enemy operations.
- Flamethrower: A close assault trooper that excels at attacking multiple enemies simultaneously at short range, Flamethrower Infantry have been trained to operate the M240B Flamethrower.
- Smartgunner: Armed with the M57 Smartgun, a Smartgunner can take on large numbers of lightly armored targets with an extraordinary rate of fire and exceptional accuracy.
- Sniper: Equipped with the M42C Sniper Rifle, the Sniper is used to take out ranged targets.
Squad Leader The United States Colonial Marine Corps Squad Leader supervises and manages the personnel assigned to their squadr. The tactical core of the squad, the Squad Leader is a front-line Operations Officer and leads their team to meet project objectives with military precision. -
Support (Primary Manifest)
The Support Department consists of personnel that are assigned to complete secondary assignments to ensure company operations and projects are successful.
Synthetic A Synthetic is assigned to each United States Colonial Marine Corps Squad as a multi-role team member, often assigned as drivers, pilots, medics and scientific advisors due to their technical acumen. Unable to fulfill a combat role due to Interstellar Law, Synthetics can impart knowledge and experience outside of the training of most combat specialists. Pilot The Pilot oversees the navigation of the vessel and operates support craft utilized on company missions to transport personnel and equipment. Medic The Medic is a specialist who has been trained to heal that all-important organic component of the team: the soldiers themselves and ensure that personnel get prompt medical attention during engagements. CommTech The CommTech (United States Colonial Marine Corps slang for Communications Officer/Technician) is the support core of every squad. The CommTech has the technical expertise to repair a wide range of battlefield systems including Synthetics, Sentry Guns, Atmospheric Processors, and the vessel itself. CommTechs also oversee the communications equipment and maintain contact between the ship and mission teams.
